“We loved our nest on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi. Songbirds, raptors, and deer all paid us a visit. This is a lovely, imaginative place with great views”
About the Cooper’s Hawk
This crow-sized raptor ranges from Canada to Mexico, and hunts birds and small animals with stealth, ambushing prey in dense woods and brush.
Green Sustainable & Fantastic
The cottage, from structural design to construction, has been built to be resource-efficient. Discover the natural hand-hewn timber trusses spanning the ceilings. Lovely additional features found within Coopers Cottage are its skylights and smaller octagon accent windows connecting our guests to natural forest light.
Seven Hawk’s Vineyard & Winery
Our vineyards are planted with almost 17,000 northern hybrid grape vines, making us one of the largest vineyards in the Upper Midwest. All of our grapes are hand-pruned, hand-tended, and hand-harvested, and all of our wines are estate-grown and estate- bottled, and waiting for you to taste when you visit Coopers Cottage, or when you visit our tasting room, where tastings of our wines are always FREE!
